Víctor Martínez Vicario Foundation

The legacy of a dream. The future of all.

Committed to the professional hairdressing sector, to innovation and to sustainable development.

The Foundation was created in 2008 as a personal commitment of the group's founder. Don Víctor Martínez Vicario was proof that dreams, with effort and passion, can be achieved. He made his dream come true and wanted to give back to the sector and to society everything it gave him.

The Víctor Martínez Vicario Foundation annually allocates 1.5% of the profits of the companies in the group to its shares.

The Foundation is part of VMV Cosmetic Group, one of the most important Spanish multinationals in the world in the creation, production and distribution of cosmetic and hairdressing products with an outstanding international projection. The group is present in more than 50 countries and has more than 1,700 employees. With more than 70 years of experience in the sector, it has brands recognised at a professional level such as Salerm Cosmetics, Lendan Cosmetics, Arkhé Cosmetics, Crioxidil, Marvi and Salón Selección among others.

The four fundamental pillars The Foundation's main objectives are to help workers and professionals with care needs, to support education in the hairdressing sector, to be responsible for sustainable development and to be committed to the scientific community in cancer research and to society as a whole.

1. Education in the sector

One of the pillars of the Foundation is training. We are convinced that a good education is the way to development and evolution of the sector. For this reason, we finance access to hairdressing studies for thousands of young people through our Víctor Martínez Vicario Scholarship Programme. Our founder was convinced that it was necessary to bet on people who want to be trained, feel desire and true vocation for this art.

2. People and Proximity

We believe in teamwork. We have grants to support the welfare needs of the employees and professionals of all VMV Cosmetic Group brands and their families. In addition, we also collaborate with organisations that promote solidarity initiatives for the most needy people and groups, such as the Stanpa Foundation, the Red Cross and the Barcelona Food Bank.

3. Innovation and Scientific Research

We seek to advance science and society. One of our main commitments focuses on supporting projects for the fight against cancer, ranging from funding scientific research to supporting organisations related to this disease. We also have La Galería, Marvi and the Beauty Studio Center, three centres specialising in beauty and oncological aesthetics.

4. Sustainability and Environment

We act with the least possible impact on the environment and contribute positively to sustainable development. From the production of packaging with recycled plastic or rice husks, promoting a circular economy, to prioritising the use of natural ingredients or manufacturing using renewable energies.
